Ashford University Students can review this site to purchase used Ashford University text books or to sell them without sifting through other college books. Students can purchase books without a membership and should not register. But if you want to post your own books, students need to purchase the annual membership for only $5.50. All you have to do to purchase a book is to get the contact information from the book list, contact them, and make the transaction yourself. No need to register to purchase books. INSTRUCTIONS FOR USING COLLEGE MOM TRADING POST. Please read before you begin.
TO PURCHASE BOOKS:
You do not have to be a member to purchase books and should not register. If you wish to purchase books from this website, you can go to the left sidebar link called BOOKS FOR SALE. You can read each list manually or enter your class or book title in the SEARCH BOX on the link. If you see the book you need , you can contact that indivual from their contact email address on that list or you can click on thier name to make a comment if you are a member.
HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR OWN LIST:
To submit a list of books you have to be a member by paying the membership fee which will subscribe you for an annual membership. After purchasing your membership, you will receive an invitation to the email address you used on your PayPal account. You can then create your username and password using that same email address you used on your PayPal account. You must use the same email address that your PayPal account has on record. Your invitation will be sent within 24 hours of your paid subscription. After registering, you can then list your books in the left sidebar link called "BOOKS FOR SALE". You have to be signed in to create a list. Give all the details you can. Always include your contact information. If you need help finding more information about your books, members can email College Mom for support. Please delete your lists after it is no longer needed or your books have been sold. You can edit your list within a certain time frame but you can delete it at anytime you need. Your subscription will be charged to you automatically after one year on your PayPal account. If you wish to cancel it before then, just go to your PayPal account and cancel it yourself. It is all in your control. It is highly suggested that you read the TIPS link before you begin using the website.
SALES AND TRANSACTIONS:
All sales are conducted between the buyer and the seller through the sellers contact information. This site does not participate in any assistance in purchasing items. We are not responsible for any mishandled transactions or problems of any kind. Discuss all problems with your contact privately and not on this web page. It will be deleted. However, if you would like to email me privately about a student that has not sent your books for which you paid, I would like to be made aware of their dependability status and I can offer suggestions to help you.
MEMBERSHIP:
If you decide to become a member, College mom will email you a copy of all new post and comments from the website unless you request to be deleted from the mailing list by submitting your request to my email address. Students can purchase books from the lists without a membership or post books with just a small $5.50 annual membership fee. To subscribe to our membership, go to the MEMBERSHIP LINK on the left sidebar. Only paid members will be able to create their lists of books and get the benefits that are available to members.
HOW MUCH IS THE ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP?
Membership only cost $5.50 annually at this time. Each member can post as many times as needed during that paid year. This cost is to reimburse College Mom for her time spent on maintaining and providing this website to the students. As a member, you will also get an email of every new list posted, but you may visit the website to view it directly anytime you wish. Also, as a member, you will get support from College Mom with any questions and information you may need about the books, Ashford, and other tips. No refunds will be given for any reason. This is a very small price to give for the service and countless hours College Mom gives to keep this website updated. This website is a valuable tool to the students to help them save money on their text books. You will find College Mom keeps this site maintained to perfection and responds to your comments promptly.
HOW DO I PAY FOR THE MEMBERSHIP?
Students can subscribe to our membership through the sidebar link called MEMBERSHIP. You do not have to have a PayPal account to pay through this method. After you have paid the membership fee, you will receive an invitation by emal to register for a username and password within 24 hours or sooner. You can pay now by clicking on the sidebar MEMBERSHIP link on the left of any page. Upon sending your membership fee and the acceptance of it, you are agreeing to & stating that you understand the rules and instructions of the website and the membership details and you agree to follow them.
DISPUTES:
If the situation occurs that a student does not send you the books for which you paid , it is your responsibility to address it. But I would like to be made aware of it by private email only. At that point, I will make the decision at College Mom's discretion to delete that reported students posts and to not allow any new submitted post from that student with no refund of the membership fee permanently. I may do so without any explanation and notice.
Also, as a member, you must follow the rules when making comments on this website. We do not allow bad langauge, accusations, name calling and other such innappropriate comments on the website or in emails to College Mom. If this occurs then College Mom has the right to delete your account or make it very limited and your membership payment will not be refunded.This will be at the discretion of College Mom.
When you sign up for membership, you are acknowledging that we have a ratings link and that you have read all instructions and rules. You may get a bad rating even if you disagree with the rating. To avoid these bad ratings, I suggest you follow all of the TIPS and rules for a safe transaction. It is your responsibility to make sure you cover all communication issues with the buyer if you wish to have a successful transaction. Confirm mailing addresses and details of books you are selling. If you do get a bad rating, then ask all of the other buyers with good transactions to give you a good rating so that your bad rating will be the only one. Most people will ignore only one bad rating. Please do not email College Mom and harrass her about your bad rating. This is not acceptable. Your account could be deleted or limited in the case of innopropriate comments or emails.
